ANNE AND ELLEN FIFE THEATRE IN THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Located in Virginia Tech’s premier performance venue, the theatre seats 1,274 and supports a range of events through its 60’ x 50’ stage with wing space, removable orchestral shell with ceiling, and state-of-the-art lighting, projection, and audio systems.

THEATRE 101

Theatre 101 is a black box, experimental theatre space that is located at the back of Henderson Hall and has a front entrance bordering on Blacksburg. The seating limit is approximately 130, but capacity and configurations are variable.

STUDIO THEATRE

The 205-seat venue, a three-quarter thrust/modified proscenium space, is located on the second floor of the Squires Student Center.

RECITAL SALON

This acoustically designed venue is located on the second floor of the Squires Student Center and seats 240.

CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION DISTRICT

Three living-learning communities are housed in the building, which includes a large performance space that can be set up to accommodate various types of performances and audience sizes.

HENDERSON AMPHITHEATER

The outdoor amphitheater is an ideal space for more casual performances like storytelling, small improv groups, musical entertainment, and outdoor classes, as well as a great gathering place for special events.

Bordered by Alumni Mall, Main Street, and College Avenue, Henderson Lawn hosts a variety of outdoor performances and events, including Friday concerts during the Summer Arts Festival.

In addition to the performance venues themselves, the college offers a variety of practice spaces to support every step of the creative process. These venues are designed to give you the time, tools, and flexibility to refine your work and prepare for performances with confidence.
